The successful candidate will effectively teach the literacy class, advise teacher candidates and develop and maintain relationships with programs and schools in the region. Rank is open and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in education, advising teacher candidates, organizing and supervising clinical experiences in the field, fostering positive relationships and partnerships in both area schools and private programs, and active participation in departmental activities (primarily participating in the elementary and national accreditation teams).

The Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Educational Studies at Winthrop University is seeking an innovative and involved non-tenure-track assistant professor to teach in an experiential educator preparation program. The position includes teaching in an undergraduate and graduate teacher certification program. The position provides the opportunity to supervise pre-service teacher candidates in field experiences and internships as well as teach special education and literacy coursework.
