Week 2 (1/13-1/17)
Although I came in to the class a lot later than other students and this has been long over due, I was still able to participate in this in class exercise with my partner.
My definition of Leadership
- The ability to be selfless
- Accountability for decision and outcomes for those decisions
- Articulating what it is that you want to inspire and accomplish
Week 2/3 (???-???)
Purpose- To help others figure out what they may not understand; to continue gaining knowledge for others to use
Mission – To further my education, gain numerous skills and create an extended network that allows me to give back to the community in the form of goods or services. I also want to provide resources for those in desperate need of better emotional, physical, spiritual and mental well-being.
Vision – Traveling the world creating and maintain a scholarship program for underprivileged youth. Also opening up a few free or discount whole wellness clinics in low SES communities.
Week 4 (1/27 – 2/4)
What’s in your Ethical Code?
I took a long reflection to answer this question and here is what I came up with:
1. I believe in Karma and what you put in the world is what you will receive
~treat others the way you want to be treated
2. Weigh the risks. Is it worth the potential consequences?
3. When making big decisions, everyone’s opinions should at least be taken into consideration
4. Is it something my family would be proud of? If the answer is no then it should not be done.
5. Only give what you’re not afraid to lose. You can’t help others get what you do not have.
6. Change is necessary for growth and development but should not be instantaneous
7. Never make promises that can’t be kept.
8. You are who you surround yourself with, be smart and be aware. Unfortunately sometimes someone else’s issue becomes our issue and our character, reputation and integrity becomes challenged.
9. this one kind of goes with number 8 – Expect in yourself what you expect of others.
10. Last but not least…. what would jesus do??
Week 15 (4/15 – 4/17) Diversity at its finest….or is it?
