Jackie Buell

Dr. Jackie Buell is a veteran Sports Nutrition practitioner and researcher at Ohio State University. With degrees in Sports Medicine (BS), Exercise Science (MS), and Nutrition (PhD), Jackie is Licensed and Registered Dietitian as well as a Certified Sports Specialty Dietitian (CSSD). She teaches in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Jackie’s past research has focused on physical activity and bone health in young females, metabolic syndrome in football linemen, and fueling issues for athletes for many sports. Her current focus is in the area of the female athlete triad, metabolism and dieting behaviors. As well, she hopes to continue defining the prevalence of metabolic syndrome in big athletes of all ages.

Many Graduate and Undergraduate students have worked on sports nutrition issues through time as part of their degree completion requirements.  Learn more here.
