Columbus to-do List Part 2

For the second part of my Columbus to-do list, I decided to go to the Quarter Horse Congress.  I got to watch some of the horses that were showing warm up.  Riders of all kinds were in the arena, riding both English and Western.  It was so much fun to watch them!  I also got to explore the many shops that were at the Congress.  There were so many items for showing and taking care of horses!  Everything from beautiful show shirts to saddles for both showing and everyday use.  I especially loved looking at the horse trailers because I had never seen what they looked like from the inside before.  I was also surprised that there was an area were breeders went to sell their puppies.  It was so much fun to get to pet them and say hello!  I would recommend this event!  It was amazing!

I also went to the Bert Kreischer show at the Palace Theatre.  Burt Kreischer is a comedian who travels around the country putting on shows.  He does not travel to Columbus regularly, but I thought I would include it because it is one of the many great shows that happen in Columbus.  It is was both amazing and hilarious.  I don’t remember the last time I had laughed that hard.  I was very glad that I went and would recommend going if he comes back to Columbus.

My favorite experience was the Quarter Horse Congress because I love horses and it makes me happy that such a large event is dedicated to showing off the incredible partnership that has formed between the horses and their riders.  I also loved exploring all the great shops.  It made me want to have my own horse even more so I can enter myself!  🙂

I learned that Columbus has so much to offer, all you have to do is look around.  There are so many great things to do and see, and I am excited that I got to explore such an amazing city.  Doing this project has allowed me to see a few of the many things that go on in Columbus every day!  In addition, this project has made me want to explore some of the other festivals that go on in Columbus.  I also want to visit some other dessert shops in Columbus because I love to try new desserts.  Overall, I am glad that I got to do this project, and I can’t wait to learn more about Columbus.
