How to make Coffee

Located in the Smith Seminar Room Kitchen is an airpot coffee maker. Airpots are located in the cabinet beneath the coffee maker. Siphons are in the drawer above the airpots. Put an open airpot (without siphon) on deck with the lid to the left or right depending on the brew side you’re using.

Coffee maker is programmed for airpot size, all airpots are the same size, both the right and left are programmed the same.

Put a filter in the basket, and put ground coffee in filter. Use [2 packets or 6 Tbsps] of coffee grounds for one airpot.

Press green brew button for appropriate side you are using. Coffee will brew automatically and stop when finished. Both sides can be used simultaneously. The hot water dispensor can also be used at the same time coffee is brewing.

Note: A 2 minute drip time is added, it is recommended that you do not remove the airpot until this time expires.

Throw away grounds in trash, do not put down sink.

A sign out sheet is located on the wall to the right, please sign out airpots you are using. Coffee supplies in the Smith Seminar Room Kitchen are for the exclusive use of the Physics Dept.

Let Chair’s assistant know if coffee stash is low.
