Please take a moment to review the academic calendar, which you can find here. It’s a helpful resource with important dates for all university students, including the first day of classes, registration deadlines, the final exam schedule, and more!
To be adequately prepared to begin the PhD program this autumn, please review the information on the site thoroughly. The site is designed to provide you with important information you need to know as a new graduate student in the College of Nursing. More information will be shared with you as the autumn semester approaches. Use the New Student To Do List to ensure you have completed the necessary requirements prior to the start of the program.
If you were admitted as a Graduate Intra-University Transfer, your acceptance will not be reflected on Buckeye Link and you will be unable to register for classes or access Beacon until you have been reactivated by the Graduate School. This process can take up to four weeks from the acceptance deadline. If you still cannot enroll after that time, please reach out to your Graduate Program Manager.
If you have any questions about the information contained in this site, please email Gina Clark, the Program Manager, at clark.2829@osu.edu for assistance. You can also learn a little bit more about me and my role by clicking the link below!

The Graduate School has developed an orientation for incoming graduate students. This orientation, designed as a Carmen course, was developed to provide graduate students with an overview of the Graduate School, graduate education at our institution, and the resources available to all graduate students. Due to its asynchronous nature, you are welcome to review it at your convenience. Students seeking technical assistance in accessing the orientation should contact the OTDI IT Help Desk at (614) 688-HELP (4357) or 8help@osu.edu.
College of Nursing Scholarships
Thanks in large part to generous private donors, the College of Nursing has a number of scholarships available to our students currently enrolled in one of the college’s degree granting programs. Some of these are need-based and require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadline. Continuing students are invited to submit the scholarship application to be considered for need-based and/or merit-based scholarships. These funds are limited and preference is given to full-time, degree-seeking students who are continuously enrolled. Students exclusively enrolled in a pre-major or certificate program are not eligible to apply for these opportunities.
