Health and Wellness Initiatives at the College of Nursing: This video, created by the Director of Graduate Health and Wellness Academic Programming Dr. Alice Teall, discusses the resources and initiatives available at the college.

Helene Fuld Institute for Evidence-Based Practice: This video, created by Dr. Sharon Tucker, provides an overview of the Fuld Institute for EBP at the college.

Lockers: There are lockers available for student use in the basement of Newton Hall.  To reserve a locker, come to the Office of Student Affairs and Success in 106 Newton Hall. You will need to complete and sign the Locker Agreement contract and provide either your lock combination or a spare key for your lock to be kept secured with your signed contract. This allows us to assist you in the event that you forget your combination or to remove the lock should you leave and not take your lock with you. Once the contract is complete, a locker number will be assigned to you.

Mental Health First Aid Kit:  The “I Can Help You” initiative was started by students at the College of Nursing and is designed to bring awareness to mental health stigmatization, as well as provide you with the skills and resources needed to assist others.

Student Financial Aid: Provides assistance to students applying for financial support, including Federal Aid.

Student Health InsuranceAll students at The Ohio State University are required to have health insurance if they are enrolled at least half-time and in a degree program of study (4 credits for graduate students). If you are enrolled exclusively in Distance Learning, you must petition for student health insurance. The petition can be found here. Please note, students enrolled exclusively in Distance Learning are still required to have health insurance.

Important information regarding your Ohio State student email account: 

The university will routinely send official communications to your university email address. Ohio State recently changed their email forwarding policy so the Buckeyemail student email ( can no longer be forwarded to a personal account.  Those students who are also employees of Ohio State have an employee email (, which is also not linked to the Buckeyemail account.  Employees of the OSU Wexner Medical Center have an OSUWMC account as well ( that is not connected.
