2026 Quality Assurance
Livestock members are required to complete Quality Assurance Training each year. Once again we are requiring that training is completed in-person. A parent/guardian must be in attendance for any youth member completing a livestock project for the first time OR any youth member completing a species of livestock that they have not completed in the past. A parent/guardian must also be in attendace for any youth who had animal care concerns at the 2025 Paulding County Fair. Those youth will be contacted individually.
The training is put on by OSU Extension and will be offered twice in Paulding County. The Ohio Department of Agriculture has set a rule that Quality Assurance training must be completed prior to the 45-day mark before the start of a county fair. Failure to complete this training by the 45-day deadline will mean that the animal will not be eligible to be shown or sold at the county fair.
