Mario Kabuswe Changala is an Agricultural Economist working as an Extension Methodologist with the Ministry of Agriculture of Zambia. He focuses on rural development through agriculture, working with small scale farmers in field crop and horticultural production. While on the Mandela Washington Fellowship at ATI this month and next, Mario hopes to sharpen his leadership and professional skills. Upon his return, he plans to start a project called the “Entrepreneurship Hub for Rural Youths through Agriculture” to empower underprivileged rural youths with possible income generating enterprises.

Note the day, time, and location (which differ from previous talks) are by ATI faculty request due to the OSU class schedule (a 12-12:50 talk would conflict with 2 class periods). Getting people who have not been abroad nor know people from outside the US to attend such events furthers the spirit of this series.
