Kareem Abdul Jabbar tickets for people who leave their opinion

Dear Wooster Internationals, I have obtained 40 tickets to the talk in a conversational format of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a leading voice on today’s cultural and political topics and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.  In the Scot Center’s Timken Gymnasium (1267 Beall Ave.) at The College of Wooster on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

To get one free ticket (while supplies last):  Go to my website www.go.osu.edu/WoosterInternational and leave a comment about your experiences in America (click on the ‘leave a comment’ link).

  • What is something that most people in your country think about life in America which you believe is true?

and

  • What is something that most people in your country think about life in America that you don’t think is accurate?

The tickets will be available for pickup, with the person’s name on the back, at the Zumba class on Wednesday, September 13 12-1 pm (before, during, and after the 12:10-12:55 class), which this week is at the Gazebo.

As summer ends, a thought about beginnings

When I first came to Lomé, Togo (for my junior year abroad of undergraduate studies), I saw so many people walking alongside the roads, I thought “a soccer match or a concert must have just ended.”

Leave a comment stating what surprised you your first day in Wooster.

The first two people who leave such comments will receive 2 tickets each to the talk by basketball legend (and so much more)
