Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is a senior at The Ohio State University from Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently working towards dual Bachelor’s degrees in both Aviation Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. As the Director of the Ohio Air Mobility Symposium, he leads a team of Ohio State students in planning and curating 2023’s annual conference, held March 29th – 30th in Columbus, Ohio. This spring conference will include discussions about the future of air mobility in Ohio by industry leaders and experts.

Apart from his passion for advanced air mobility, he is an avid aviation enthusiast. He has over 250 hours of flight time as an instrument-rated private pilot and is currently working towards his commercial license. He is also a certified drone pilot with an FAA Part 107 license.

Chris’ industry experience includes a summer internship at Whisper Aero and his current employment at Ohio State University as the AAM Student Assistant. In this position, he works to increase student awareness of the field and attract potential partners to Ohio State. Chris is also a recipient of the Vertical Flight Society Joseph P. Cribbins Scholarship.
