Badge 18: Content Management System U.OSU.EDU

Records of all my work and the badges I have earned in this class can be found  on my u.osu.edu website The link to my website is : https://u.osu.edu/narmadapaulesetec5291/.

On the left side-bar of this page, you can find:

1. Links to class work (eg. Badge 16: Content curation)

2. Links to the badges (see ‘Credly: Link to my badges)

On my pages you will find both textual content and multimedia content. I have highlighted some examples of each type of content use in the section below:

The links to my assignments include text describing what the activity entailed, the process through which I completed each of the activities, and my reflection upon completion of my activity The text on each page has been formatted for easy viewing, that is, the text is divided into separate sections according to the content. Each distinct section of the textual content is demarcated with a bold heading to inform the reader of the content. The text always follows a logical sequence: starting with objectives, description of the process and reflection on activity. To see an example please click on this link to the record of my Micro Teaching 1 assignment: https://u.osu.edu/narmadapaulesetec5291/badge-14-micro-teaching-1-vygotsky-and-web-2-0/.

Wherever required I have inserted multimedia content within the documented record of my work. For example, on the page documenting the student led session that I conducted on flipped classrooms, I embedded a YouTube video of Salman Khan’s TED talk. I had used the video for teaching the lesson and wanted my peers to have quick access to it after class.  Please click on this link to view it https://u.osu.edu/narmadapaulesetec5291/badge-13-student-led-discussion/ .

Another example of multimedia content can be found on my record of synchronous online teaching Here I have inserted the screenshot of the Carmen Connect layout to help the reader get a sense of the online platform which was used by me for teaching. Many of the features in the image have been described in the text for ease of understanding. The image can be enlarged to get a better view of the lay-out (instructions for enlarging the image have been provided in the text). Please click on this link to view it: https://u.osu.edu/narmadapaulesetec5291/badge-5-synchronous-online-teaching/.

Often, PowerPoint presentations  and links to websites used in the course of an activity were embedded within the text at appropriate places. The Mobile Learning activity involved the use of a PowerPoint presentation; furthermore, this activity was designed using Edmodo as the platform for mobile learning. The page documenting this activity had the used PowerPoint inserted within it and also had a link to the Edmodo website with instructions on how to access a quiz which had been created for assessment of learning. Please click on this link to see the described insertions:  https://u.osu.edu/narmadapaulesetec5291/badge-mobile-learning/

To ensure easy navigation for visitors to the site, the unused widgets on the side-bar were deleted (eg. Blog Categories). Links to records of my class work and my Credly badges were retained. This ensured that visitors to the site would be able to access required information without getting bombarded with unnecessary details.
