Get An Update on Breast Cancer Screening.  By participating in this activity, the learner will gain an understanding of the importance of breast cancer screening and how best to approach and utilize breast cancer screening tools. The learner will gain a deeper understanding of the methods and approaches available for breast cancer screening and how to choose the best screening paradigm for different patient groups.

For this program, we’ve invited one of Ohio State University’s Breast Radiology experts to help break down the breast cancer screening and give us guidance on the various types of screening modalities. Dr. Clayton Taylor is an Associate Professor of Radiology here at the James Cancer Hospital and is fellowship trained in breast imaging.

As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to:

  • Understand how breast cancer screening tools such as mammography, breast MRI, and breast ultrasound work and how to best use them for breast cancer screening.
  • Learn how to use breast cancer risk and breast density to determine the best breast cancer screening approach for different patients.

First, to tell us about the surgical treatment of breast cancer, is surgical oncologist and Professor of Surgery from the Ohio State University, Dr. Doreen Agnese. And then to update us on systemic therapy for breast cancer is medical oncologist and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Dr. Margaret Gatti-Mays.
