Farming is one of the most stressful occupations, due in part to the unique challenges that producers face. Some of these unique stressors include unpredictable weather, labor shortages, market pressures, international trade agreements, environmental concerns, and family dynamics among others. Some of these things are out of our control and as stress builds up, we can easily become overwhelmed. Stress can affect people in a number of ways including changes in our mood, attitude, or overall mental health. We want to ensure that those that are dealing with farm stress or stuggling with mental health know that there are resources available to be able to assist you.
