Tyler Beauregard, MS, AT, ATC, CSCS

Graduate Assistant

Tyler Beauregard is a PhD student in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University. He received his Bachelor of Science, double majoring in in athletic training and exercise science from the University of Montana, and his Master of Science in kinesiology and recreation from Illinois State University. He then worked clinically as an athletic trainer in the high school and university settings for six years. His PhD training focuses on quality improvement and implementation science, studying under Dr. Catherine Quatman-Yates. Tyler enjoys working with computers and is currently teaching himself how to configure and deploy a home server.

 

James Crick, PT, DPT

Dr. James P. Crick, Jr. is a part-time PhD student in Health and Rehabilitation Science at The Ohio State University and a full-time clinician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Bellarmine University in 2015 where he was the president of his cohort and served as a research associate with members of the DPT faculty. He was awarded the 2015 Gary L. Soderberg Doctor of Physical Therapy Award by the DPT Visionary Foundation and the 2022  Mary Sinnott Award for Clinical Excellence from the Academy of Acute Care Physical Therapy. He now serves as co-chair for CSM Education for the Academy of Acute Care Physical Therapy and is a member of the core outcomes set knowledge translation workgroup. His research interests include understanding and predicting which patients maximally benefit from certain doses or frequencies of physical therapy while in the hospital as well as process improvement to enhance fall prevention and transitional care coordination.

James is married to his wife, Samantha, and they live in Westerville, OH with their three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, remaining active in his church, reading, and exercising.

Yogesh Kumaran, MD/PhD Student

Yogesh Kumaran is an MD/PhD student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Engineering, collaborating with The Ohio State University. His research focuses on integrating computational modeling and simulation in human biomechanics to identify post-operative risks, assess surgical outcomes, and develop effective rehabilitation strategies following orthopedic surgeries.
