The Buckeye Pause Bundle was a project funded by the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation in 2022-2023 and combined three interrelated interventions to help build resiliency in high-stress healthcare environments.
Buckeye Pause Prompts have been programmed to push personalized prompts to a participant’s cell phone. The purpose of these prompts is to encourage engagement in:
- Mind-body practices
- Mindfulness in Motion weekly programming (in-person), which teaches mindfulness practices over the course of 8 weeks
- Buckeye Pause Pod, which serves as a soundproof respite space that healthcare workers can utilize during their workday to implement the mindfulness practices they are learning
Participants complete surveys and wear an Oura ring to collect health information.
This project involved cross-collaboration with the Human Performance Collaborative (Human Performance Collaborative | The Ohio State University) and the Center for Integrative Health (Integrative Health | Ohio State Wexner Medical Center).
