Hiroshima Peace Memorial is located in the central of Hiroshima City. Japan is the only country in the world ever attacked by an atomic bomb in the history and we have a duty to abolish nuclear weapons.
The picture is showing the Genbaku Dome which serves memorial to the residents of Hiroshima who were killed in atomic bomb dropped by the United States B-29 in August 6, 1945.
About 90 % of the city was destroyed and between 90,000-166,000 people were killed by the bomb. The memorial has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 to preserve the ruin for remembering the most catastrophic force made by human, and hoping for world peace.
