Dr. Glenn Martinez, director of the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures at The Ohio State University
visited Westland High School students for their second role model event! Dr. Martinez is also leading the I.M.P.A.C.T. Grant Project for Westland students. He spoke about the many unique opportunities that Spanish language and sociolinguistic study provide students in their futures. He especially focused on facing discrimination and encouraged students to be the change they want to see in the world by embracing their heritage and striving for success.
