The Learning Management System (LMS) in use here at Ohio State is Canvas, though it’s referred to as Carmen or CarmenCanvas. To access it, login at carmen.osu.edu. Once you have your courses published, you may find it faster to bookmark osu.instructure.com as it will take you straight to your Dashboard.
If something is terribly wrong or if a student cannot access your course, contact carmen@osu.edu or have the student call 614-688-HELP (4357)
For non-emergency help, contact Carmen Support. They can help if you need to merge course sections, are having a problem, or simply need an answer to a question.
Templates
ODEE created a Carmen Course Template that you can import to your course from CanvasCommons. This template has been modified by faculty in HRS to include images, links, and resources specific to our programs. You can find it in CanvasCommons as the HRS Carmen Course Template and import it into your course.

Still stuck?
If you can’t find what you need here, try googling “Canvas LMS” and a few words describing what you want to do. For example – canvas lms mark as excused and the first result is from the Canvas LMS Community Guides, with step by step instructions for marking a student as excused for an assignment. You can also head to the Canvas LMS Guides page and search there.
