Zoom

Zoom (called CarmenZoom at Ohio State) is a web conferencing tool like WebEx or any other you’ve already used.  Zoom is straightforward to use for audio-only or audio and video meetings.  Up to 300 people can attend a single Zoom meeting, and participants can view the meeting from any device.  You can share your screen, your webcam, or both simultaneously. Scroll down this page for more resources, or check out all of our blog posts about Zoom.

Hosting via CarmenZoom

  • If you are hosting a Zoom call, be sure to launch the call by logging into https://osu.zoom.us and starting the meeting from your scheduled meetings.  This ensures that you have hosting privileges.
  • Wondering whether you should require students to turn on their cameras? Maha Bali offers an important perspective to consider.
