This first semester at Ohio State has taught me a lot about being a college student. I obtained a lot of useful information (mainly from the scholars program) that will help guide me in my following years. Before I came to OSU, I had no idea how to get involved in clubs, research, volunteering, or other extracurriculars. After this first semester, I not only know how to get involved in these things, but I have a plan for getting involved in all of them. For example, I am going to apply to be a volunteer at the Wexner Medical Center for next semester. I have also already joined 2 clubs and plan on contacting researchers to get involved in their labs. I have also learned about time management. I have found a way to balance my school work with all of my other activities in order to achieve good grades while being able to do the things I enjoy, such as going to the gym. Overall, this semester was very successful in smoothly transitioning to life in college.
