Join us for Kitchen Chemistry at the Cincinnati Museum Center on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 11-3 in the STEM Lab!

Kids can learn about what Matter is and how it changes form; explore the different properties of matter; find out about acids and bases; and discover how everyday items and kitchen ingredients can be used in cool tests!  Free for CMC Members or included with a Discovery Ticket. www.cincymuseum.org/sciencemuseum/stem-lab/

Cincinnati Buckeye Run September 29th

Join with us and celebrate Hamilton County 4-H at our annual Cincinnati Buckeye Run, Supported by  The KinderGarden School, Spring Grove Cemetery, Hamilton County Farm Bureau, Fleet Feet and TriState Running Company.

Proceeds from this race benefit Hamilton County 4-H and our efforts to provide positive youth development through community clubs, school based initiatives, after-school programs and SPIN clubs.

Hamilton County 4-H has:

  • Served nearly 4,000 youth, representing a diverse cross section of Hamilton County.
  • Partnered with 50 classrooms for ChickQuest, and 4 school gardens thanks to the generous support of the L&L Nippert Cheritable Trust.
  • Continued serving more than 600 youth through our innovative 4-H Agri-Science in the City Program in partnership Pleasant Hill Academyin College Hill.
  • Provided more than 150 youth with the chance to exhibit their 4-H projects at the Hamilton County Community Fair. Projects included robotics, nutrition, photography, vegetable gardening, animal husbandry and leadership.

Location: Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum
Check-in: 8:00AM-9:00AM
Runners Start: 9:00AM
Walkers Start: 9:15AM
Course Description: Course consists of blacktop and pavement
Healthy snacks will be served from 8:00AM-11:00AM

Registration opens August 15th!
$8 for 4-H Familes ($5 registration + $3 fee).
$34.10 for Community Members ($30 registration + $4.10 fee).

The Hamilton County Agriculture Education Day will take place Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Gorman Heritage Farm. If you know a 3rd or 4th grade teacher in Hamilton County, please pass along the information below.

Slots will be filled on a first come, first served format. If space is still available, registration deadline is Friday, September 13.
