This tutorial will guide you through the installation and setup required to run a program on the FEH Proteus or the FEH Proteus Simulator from your personal computer. There are two parts to this tutorial:
- Installing the Visual Studio Code development environment
- Installing other required tools and software
Installing Visual Studio Code

- Download Visual Studio Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/. This is a free download; no sign in is required. The download button is highlighted in red in Figure 1.

- Open the downloaded installer file by double clicking it.
- Accept the Visual Studio Code license agreement.
- Select the default installation location, start menu location, and additional options by clicking Next 3 times. Your installation options should look similar to Figure 2.

- Click Install. Visual Studio Code is now installed!
- Download Visual Studio Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/. This is a free download; no sign in is required. The download button is highlighted in red in Figure 1.
