Smartphone Data Collection with Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Understanding the relationship between services and outcomes is on ongoing challenge in serving populations experiencing homelessness. The heart of this challenge is collecting timely and longitudinal data and connecting that with specific outcomes. The vast majority of youth experiencing homeless use a smartphone as their primary connection to communication and resources. The purpose of this 6-month pilot is to study a smartphone based data collection system with a group of 15 youth to track their use of resources and services after achieving stable housing. The pilot will provide important information for how to better connect this population with community and educational Resources.
