Families in EPIC are eligible for family treatment drug court (FTDC) with eligibility for medication-assisted treatment (MAT). FTDCs enhance communication among the court, child welfare caseworkers, and substance abuse treatment providers to address parents’ unique treatment needs. Families in EPIC receive incentives to participate in FTDC. These families will also be prioritized for MAT, which involves a combination of medication and behavioral therapy to treat substance use disorder.
