Students from previous interviews believe that some type of e-scooter or rentable bike are more reliable to get to places on time. Our free e-scooters with student ID would fit the solution of an affordable yet reliable way to get around campus. The potential solution of an affordable e-scooter system at Ohio State would solve the needs and values that students hold for transportation. From this opportunity and use of this product, the values of time management and conveniency are conceived. In order to compete with the main alternative and competitors in Lime and Bird e-scooters, the team not only thought of a free ride system, but also a more stable and easier to ride scooter. The current e-scooters have been fairly frail and easily breakable, with broken scooters seen often around the city. Thus by making a free and more stable easier to ride ride, our product provides not only the convenience and navigating features of the competitors but also a cheaper and easier to ride option as well.
