This final sketch concept best meets user needs because it is not only functional, but has extra amenities that would help the user. The basket on the side of the scooter allows the user to put small objects, such as a notebook or water bottle, there while riding the scooter. This eliminates the possible inconvenience of not being able to take the scooter due to what the potential user is carrying. In addition to the gas and brakes that are on the handle of the scooter, there is a foot brake on the back that gives the user another braking option. Finally, there is a card swiping mechanism on the side of the scooter, allowing the scooter to be paid for with buckID. The overall concept and design of the scooter allows for an easy, personalized way for users to get around campus while using their buckID, rather than their own money.
