The College of Education and Human Ecology’s (EHE) Graduate Student Advisory Council is committed to working toward the betterment of the college and contributing to the overall success of graduate students by providing feedback and voicing concerns impacting graduate students, promoting mutual respect among faculty, staff, and students, and supporting opportunities for graduate students to engage in networking, collaboration, and professional development experiences.

Graduate Student Town Hall

  • Date: February 20, 2025
  • Location: Round Meeting Room, Third Floor/3140, Ohio Union
  • Time: 3pm-4pm
  • Description: All EHE graduate students are invited to join Senior Associate Dean, Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Outreach and Office of Graduate Education Noelle Arnold, the Office of Graduate Education staff, and the EHE Graduate Student Advisory Council in receiving updates regarding graduate student support in the College. Students will have the opportunity to meet graduate staff and leadership, receive updates and initiatives from the Office of Graduate Education and EHE GSAC, and have the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback and ideas regarding the graduate student experience. Come join us right after the EHE Research Forum!
  • Registration is not required to attend but having an idea of attendance and questions you may have will help us better prepare for a successful event, so please complete this short registration form if planning to attend.

Navigating Negotiation for the Job Search

Attendees will have the opportunity to have their questions directly answered by Dr. Snyder who has experience on both sides of the negotiation process as an employee and as an employer.

Navigating Postdoc Experiences: Insights and Advice for Graduate Students

• Gain perspectives from current post-docs about their experiences and recommendations
• Opportunity to get your questions answered directly from post-docs both at OSU and outside of OSU.
