Group I

In the field of engineering it is usually simplicity and efficiency that wins out. Group I took this into consideration when creating a final design for the AEV. Few materials were used in the final design while maximizing the amount of space on the AEV to allow for easy modifications and maintenance to the vehicle. The final design for the AEV also features a vertical main panel, which allows for easier balancing of vehicle mass. The final cost for the AEV is a mere $152,380, a value significantly lower than many other similar AEV designs. Simplicity of design also lead to the AEV having a lower total weight than most, weighing in at 238 grams. A lower weight means better vehicle acceleration and a higher efficiency of energy. We in Group I and in Dreese Data Systems are confident in the features and capabilities of our final AEV design and believe it to be a safe investment that provides the “best bang for your buck” when compared to other AEV designs.
