Derek’s drawing and decided team drawing
I tried to focus on the aerodynamics of the AEV and the weight. I made it so the wind coming at the AEV was as minimal as possible and no added extremities for weight. The team agreed with my drawing so we are using it as the team drawing.
Nick’s design
I used the example given to create my design as efficiently as possible. I thought the added features would make the design more aerodynamic, however, I now believe they would just be in the way.
Brody’s Design
My design was similar to the Sample AEV, but with slanted sides instead. I thought this design might improve the quality of travel for the forward process, but I now believe the slants might just be unnecessary.
Luke’s Design
For my design, I tried to give the AEV a sleek and narrow design to decrease the wind resistance. I also added propellers on the back of the AEV as well as on the side because I believed having propellers in different locations would be helpful when the AEV has to travel in reverse.
