Districts –
the intersection between King and High is seen as the southern start of the University district. When you enter the district you’re welcomed by a public library, tall apartment buildings and book stores.
Edges –
The lines marked into the Turf fields at the rpac are great examples of edges. These lines are used as regulation lines for any sports played on these fields.
Nodes –
Midway on high is seen as a node on campus, it is a popular nightlife spot. To freshmen, midway is the center of nightlife. It is placed right in the center of the university district.
Paths –
Two sidewalks align high street as far as the eye can see. These sidewalks are great paths for off-campus and campus students to walk to and from class without having to get on any bus.
Landmarks –
Mcdonalds is seen as a landmark on campus because it is the location of a recent shooting and because it is the place to go after midway or bulls, at least if you live on north campus. This particular McDonald’s is very modern and is the only McDonald’s located in the university district. It is a popular place for both students and the homeless.
EMOTIONS
FEAR
“EXPELIARMUS” … This is usually what you hear when you walk past Mack Hall. This old building located on south campus gives off Harry Potter vibes. It’s is very old and scary looking, I feel for the students that live there.
PRIDE
who doesn’t love game day? The atmosphere in the show during game day is one of the best experiences a buckeye can get. The pride and joy of being a buckeye is always at an all time high when you step into the show for game day.
BOREDOM
The Thompson library is one of the best places to study on campus. It is also one of the most boring places in the world.
CONTEMPT
JO South is one of the best gyms to workout on campus. It is usually not too packed, and the wait for equipment isn’t that long. You feel contempt and joy walking out of JO South looking thicker than a bowl of oatmeal after a good workout.
HAPPINESS
The new Mirror is lake is breathtaking, it is one of the most beautiful sites on campus. It might be the only place on campus where there isn’t construction. It is a great spot to hangout and do some reading.
