In a thrilling encounter of the storied Hell is Real rivalry, the Columbus Crew clashed with FC Cincinnati in a lopsided match where the Crew dominated FC Cincinnati with a commanding 3-0 victory leading many Cincinnati supporters to leave prematurely in order to beat the traffic. This rivalry, aptly named after the giant billboard on Interstate 71 connecting Columbus and Cincinnati, lived up to its reputation in terms of the excitement and atmosphere in Lower.com Field as the Columbus Crew reigned supreme!

A group of students from our department trekked down to the Arena District of downtown Columbus to experience this intense rivalry firsthand (8/20/2023). (Pro-tip: The D-Tix counter in the Ohio Union has a discount ticket program for OSU students, with many other sporting events offered throughout the year.)

We appreciate everyone who joined us at Highbanks Metro Park for a pleasant morning hike! It was a great way to enjoy Central Ohio’s natural beauty. We hope to see you again soon!

A sweet occasion
