Performance Test 1

The AEV successfully reached the gate on the first try of the performance test. With use of the servo, the AEV was able to stop between the sensors at the gate without variability between trials. The first performance test did not use much energy because the push-pull configuration allowed the air flow to be stronger with less power due to both propellers pushing the air together. When comparing the original horizontal base design to the vertical base design, the horizontal base was much sturdier and more reliable, while the results with the vertical base varied between trials. This variability happened especially when attempting to stop at the gate, so Group N decided to continue with the horizontal base design.
