Molly on the Shore-Percy Grainger
- I fell in love with music while playing this piece. It is my goal to play the solo one day. I have had the solo memorized for 4 years.
Piano Man-Billy Joel
- I can listen to this song on repeat forever. I love the emotion Billy sings with and it helps me connect to it. Plus it’s very catchy.
Danzon no. 2- Arturo Márquez
- This was my first big solo with a full band. I helped my gain confidence in my sound. I messed up at the performance but that’s ok!
Shut up and Dance- Walk the moon
- I forgot to download a lot of music when I got my new phone so this song was on repeat for two weeks while I was in Europe. I would fall asleep to it on the bus and it is forever embedded in my brain.
Relic-I don’t know who composed it and can’t find it on the internet
- This piece was played on my Europe trip and it ran through my head as I entered the cathedral of Prague. The moment was so beautiful that I cried and no pictures I took can ever do that cathedral justice.
River flows in You-Yiruma
- The first full piece I ever learned on piano. I have all of it memorized and it’s super easy but I look impressive when I play it.
Concerning Hobbits-Howard Shore
- I am obsessed with Lord of the Rings and hearing this always makes me smile. Plus, the main theme is performed on clarinet!
Circle of Life-Elton John
- Lion King was my first Broadway show and I will always remember the opening scene where all of the actors are dressed as animals!
