This is Marielle Lynch! She’s from Pennsylvania, around the Pittsburg area. I met her through her roommate, Abby, who I met in my clarinet studio. Marielle is a business major whose art interest is playing the flute and dancing! I chose to take a picture of her doing a cartwheeling because, one, she loves to dance; and two, to display her infectiously happy personality. Every time I see Marielle, she is smiling. It’s hard to be unhappy around her! She’s very sociable too! It wasn’t awkward meeting her like it is around other people I have been around. With most people, it’s really difficult to have a steady conversation or find topics to talk about. However with Marielle, she immediately acted as though we were best friends and I felt so accepted by both her and Abby. Finding a picture to display her personality was really difficult. I knew it had to be something with her smiling. We tried a ton of different things. I took a picture of her laughing, dancing, eating (because who isn’t happy when they’re eating), and at one point she ran at me whilst cracking up. That picture came out to look pretty scary! I ended up choosing this one because she was so dedicated to getting her feet to stay pointed throughout the entire cartwheel. She worked way too hard for me to not use one of the many pictures of her cartwheeling on my phone. I’ve been out with her twice already and am really excited to continue getting to know her in the future!
