  1. There are a number of interesting programs. But, the location (how to get there) of the various State Forests is not given. ie. Vinton is near McArthur but does not show on our map.
For a OSU website, you would think that the road, nearby intersection, address, etc woul be given. Maybe English and logic are not taught at OSU.

    • Here is a link to a map with directions to the Vinton Furnace State Forest: http://seohiowoods.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/directions-experimental-forest.pdf

The forest is nearly 16,000 acres in size, and there are no mailing addresses within the property. To make matters worse the roads change names within the forest at the township lines. We have had some luck with the following address: 35700 Ball Diamond Road, Dundas, OH 45634

Because the site is so remote, we place bright yellow signs for each event at both entrances to the forest and at every intersection along the way.

  3. I try to post the link to this map on all of the events, but neglected to do so with this posting. I’ll see if I can find a more prominent place on the blog site to place the map and directions.
