“Tending Your Woodlot” program for July 13th moved to Jackson Extension Office and local Tree Farm

As of this morning (Tuesday 7/10)  the power lines to the training center at the Vinton Furnace State Experimental Forest still have trees on them in multiple places, and many of the roads are still inaccessible due to fallen trees and debris.   As a result we have decided to move Friday’s “Tending Your Woodlot” program to the Extension Office in Jackson.   The field portion of the program will be held at a Tree Farm just up the road.  Sorry for any inconvenience!

Directions to Jackson County Extension Office (17 Standpipe Road, Jackson, OH 45640) :

From the Intersection of SR 32 and SR 93 take SR 93 South towards Oak Hill.  It is approximately 1.75 miles to Standpipe Road.  Take a left on Standpipe Road and then take an immediate left  onto the drive leading to the OSU Research Farm and Extension Office.  I’ll post the familiar yellow “Day in the Woods” signs at the intersection of SR 93 and Standpipe Road.
