Hi Mahrukh and Tianna, really great work and presentation! Although pharmacies and hospitals are included in the categories when doing the audit, the result does not include those health resources. Are health resources also unevenly distributed in those “hardest hit” communities so the situation is possibly worsen?
Hi Wanwei! Thank you for your question! We had observed significant disparities in pharmacies and hospitals in the studied regions. Oftentimes, these resources had barriers in their accessibility, such as transportation, location, and language. We did hypothesize that these barriers made it harder for certain populations to receive treatment, and built on existing inequities in the healthcare system. Thank you!
