Hi Sophia, great job on your research! You mention that you hope the findings will guide bilingual education practices. Do you have any specific recommendations or ideas to share based on your research and the results of your study for how to improve bilingual education practice?
Given that there is a difference in how math anxiety influences math performance in the bilingual population, math educators can pay special attention to this population to improve the outcome. For example, our research found that math anxiety only significantly negatively affects math performance when the math content is in English, so math teachers can offer extra support to help bilingual students manage math anxiety when teaching in their second languages to improve their math performance.
