About Me

Sabriya Zaman is a first year pursuing a major in Economics  with a possible minor in Bioethics. Sabriya is also a part of the Politics, Society, and Law Scholars. She aspires to go to law school after graduating from the Fisher College of Business. Her passion for helping marginalized communities stems from engaging in community service and being exposed to diversity from a young age. Sabriya’s cultural and religious identities as an American-Bangladeshi muslim have shaped her experiences significantly. Sabriya loves meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and trying unique foods to help her stay open-minded and informed.

In high school, Sabriya was a part various of service and academic clubs. She plans to continue her journey with community service by joining A Kid Again at OSU. In this COVID-19 era, she plans to participate in the pen pal program where club members are paired up with a sick child to exchange letters and drawings. Sabriya has always had a soft spot for children, especially since she is the oldest sister and cousin in her family. In the summer of 2019, she took care of  second to seventh graders at the Solon Summer Camp. Additionally, Sabriya wants to join USG, MSA and Phi Alpha Delta to focus on developing her collaborative skills and professionalism.
