Factories

The shoes produced for the buyers are manufactured in China, while the shoes for donation are produced in China, Ethiopia, Haiti, and Argentina.

Dr. DeCastro is an eye doctor who screened TOMS factory workers in Haiti. When asked about his visit to the factory he said, “the TOMS factory is beautiful and everyone was really kind. They all seemed to really enjoy their work” (TOMS).

Many people working in the TOMS factories that have contributed to the brands success are also fortunate enough to receive a pair of the shoes they have helped create and design. In addition to this thoughtful gesture, the workers are being taught how to accomplish different tasks in the work place.  For some, this is the first opportunity they have been given to work and making a living.
