Organic Chemistry

Over the past year, I have ‘stumbled’ through both sets of organic chemistry classes at OSU, it was a very difficult time, given the global pandemic circumstances but I made it through and learned something along the way. Everything I do during my time in college should be purposeful and should be helping me to reach the next big goal, it should build on top of each other. I learned that I just did not like chemistry as much as I had previously believed. When I learned this for myself, I opened up my eyes to the thousands of routes I can take and which ones would help me the most by not only building my knowledge, but piquing my interest and keeping myself engaged in and out of the classroom on my long journey forward. I decided after this past difficult year to leave the Chemistry department in study something more interesting , history. I believe that this well rounded outlook for my future academics will help me to better differentiate my science classes from my history classes, placing the information on two different levels, prioritizing them equally but treating the information differently, interest and career.
