One problem which has been exacerbated during the pandemic is the issue of intimate partner violence, or domestic violence. Catherine Maynard, a graduate student in Germanic Languages and Literatures at the Ohio State University, has written up this thoughtful poem to raise awareness about issues that prevent people experiencing harm to leave abusive relationships. Because ‘Not all abuse will leave the type of marks that people can see.’
