WELLNESS is a process of taking steps to reach and improve well-being, and can be understood to include ten dimensions. Students can be encouraged to recognize that each day presents challenges and choices that create opportunities for an individual to enhance or limit their wellness; decisions about nutrition, physical activity and connecting with friends/peers are examples of personal choices that impact this dynamic process. Faculty can incorporate teaching strategies within courses to support students within each wellness dimension.
