Dr. Scott A Jones reflects on Best Practices of Student-Led Rehearsals
Dear Professor Jones,
I am so very thankful for your videos on Collaborative rehearsal practices. I handed out a piece (A Shaker Gift Song by Ticheli) and the students spent about 15 min today during our rehearsal working through the start of the piece. We only have 40 minutes of rehearsal time but I wanted to thank you for your videos and thoughts. The students were having a great time and are very excited to see where this will take them. It was, as you said, very scary at times and I had to bite my tongue but it was worth it.
Thank you again,
Kathleen Richards Ehlinger,
