Using the skills I learned in the video sandbox offered by the Media, Marketing and Communications Scholars, I filmed and edited the video included in the link above to submit my residence hall, Morrill Tower, for the  2016-2017 Hall Council of the Year award.

I was successful in my endeavors, and Morrill Tower was inscribed on the Residence Hall Activities Council (RHAC) plaque, proudly displayed in the tower’s lobby as the 2016-2017 Hall Council of the Year.

MMC’s sandbox was instrumental in this process. I used Adobe Premier to create this 3 minute video, which I would not have been able to do without the knowledge provided by the video sandbox.

WorkSMART

In the fall of 2016, I partook in the WorkSMART sandbox offered by the Media, Marketing, and Communications Scholars program. This project group was focused on making and fulfilling goals. The SMART goal I chose was to become QUIC certified, which stands for Qualified Undergraduate Interviewing Candidate. The QUIC certification is required of all Fisher students before they interview with any company on campus. The WorkSMART sandbox helped me to pick an attainable goal and create a timeline to create it.

I was awarded the QUIC Certified badge, provided visually above, by the Office of Career Management, and I have interviewed multiple times since last fall.
