Relax with the Ohio Union on Reading Day

Take a break with us at the Ohio Union on December 10th to get yourself ready to conquer finals week. The Ohio Union and the Office of Student Life have planned a few different events to help you relieve the stress and focus on your finals.

Schedule of Activities

Reading Day Rise and Shine– 8:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service

Prepare for the day with breakfast, coffee, and tea.

Get in the Zone! – 9:00 a.m. in the Round  Meeting Room.

Join us for a guided relaxation session to help prepare for finals week from Counseling & Consultation Services.

Reading Day Lunch Break – Noon  to 2 p.m. . in the Round Meeting Room

Refuel with a lunch break. Lunch will be available in Round Meeting Room with additional lunch seating available in Rosa Ailabouni Room, Tanya Rutner Room, and Hays Cape Room

Relax with Aveda -2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ohio Union Dance Room 2

Ease the stress with some quick relaxation activities brought to you by replenish: the spa co-op, including chair massages and yoga every half-hour.

Pause for Paws -3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Creative Arts Room

Put a smile on your face  by visiting with a friendly therapy dog.

Study Spaces

During Reading Day, the following rooms in the Ohio Union will be available for studying:

All Day (7 a.m. to Midnight)

  • Lower Level Meeting Room
  • Maudine Cow Room
  • Creative Arts Room
  • Digital Lab

 

7 a.m. to 11 a.m.:

  • Barbie Tootle Room

7 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

  • Ohio Staters, Inc. Traditions Room
  • Hays Cape Room

6 p.m. to Midnight:

  • Great Hall Meeting Room 1 & 2
  • Sphinx Centennial Leadership Suite
  • Senate Chamber
