MASO – The Macedonian-American Student Association – is Ohio State’s first student group that brings a Macedonian voice to campus. As a newly founded organization on campus, they have big plans for the future.
MASO is a campus affiliate of the United Macedonian Diaspora, a new youth initiative called Generation M. On campus, MASO seeks to bring cultural awareness to the Ohio State community while also promoting the professional development of its members.
The organization has a number of plans to carry out this goal. Currently, MASO sets up a language table at Hagerty Hall with hopes of educating students about their rich culture in an interactive manner. In the future, MASO plans on participating in next year’s Taste of OSU at the Ohio Union to share their unique foods and culture. Additionally, they are planning a leadership conference this April with presentations from influential Macedonians.
If you’re interested in the Macedonian-American Student Organization, please check out their information session in the Round Room of the Ohio Union on March 8 at 7:30 p.m. Feel free to leave us any questions in the comments section and make sure to subscribe to The sOUrce for the latest on student organizations!
