The College of Public Health Panel Session

“A Non-Traditional Public Health Response to the Opioid Crisis.”

A panel of non-traditional public health practitioners will provide insight on how they were personally impacted, and how their work is shaping the response to this epidemic.  There will be a reception preceding the panel discussion.   Free to all students, faculty, staff and the community.

Training grant for graduate students and postdocs

The Center for Clinical and Translational Science is hosting an information session on the TL1 Mentored Career Development Award for graduate students and postdocs pursuing training in clinical and translational science. The session will introduce the program and how best to respond to the forthcoming RFA for appointments to the 2019-20 academic year. I have good news for you! We’re giving 6 percent back to all the competing awards that we cut by an average of 18 percent in 2018. We will also be working from an average cut of 12 percent for awards we make in FY 2019. We’ve also expanded our general pay line to the 23rd percentile. Read the full blog post.

Poster abstracts are being accepted for the American Pain Society Scientific Meeting, held April 3-6, 2019 in Milwaukee, WI.  The submittal system will remain open until October 1, 2018.

The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) 2019 Conference will be held May 18-22, 2019 in New Orleans, LA.  Abstract submission opens 10/1/2018 and closes 1/16/2019.
