About Me

Alex Sfyris is a second-year Mathematics and Economics major at the Ohio State University, with aspirations of becoming a professor. With a minor in computer science, he hopes to apply his analytical and computer skills to use data to support new theories, discoveries, and research. He is currently working as a research assistant in the department of human sciences at the Ohio State university, organizing and updating information collected from an international survey with excel. He has also been working on a bioinformatics project from the University of Cincinnati, using the R statistical programming language to import, clean, and represent data from DNA sequencing techniques. In the past, he has been involved in research at an immunology lab at the University of Cincinnati, co-authoring a published article in Cancer Research.
